Default ZO6 ti's

I might be able to pick these up cheap and I know they weigh a lot less but do they perform alot over my stock set up?
thanks in advance Jon.

A little more rumble, a lot less weight. You won't notice any power difference. Still a great setup though.

Most people claim about a 5-10 hp gain with the Ti exhaust, but as Vettenuts said, you wouldn't notice it. They do sound nice, though.

I've got them on my '01 coupe and I like them. If nothing else, they look better and weigh half as much.

the tips look sweet, the mufflers flow well and weigh next to nothing plus they match perfectly with a set of long tube headers...what's not to love???

I had the Borla Stingers before swithing to a set of 04' Ti Catbacks...boy what a difference! I love the sound of the Ti's, nice low rumble and at WOT it has an exotic sound but not overly aggressive or obnoxious. I have LT's and an X pipe and that probably adds to the sound. I dyno'd my car at 348rwhp, and for a 00 coupe with only bolt-ons thats not bad. I wouldn't trade the Ti's for anything else!

great setup..I got rid of my Borlas because of the drone. Went to the ZO6 Ti's and love the sound.

'01 Z06 with X-pipe. I love the Ti sound. Really nice at WOT and not annoying at idle. I wish they were a bit louder sometimes though.

Don't hesitate! Not a lot to complain about. Mine really howl at 2500rpm but otherwise they sound great. (Have cam, LT's XPipe, etc.)
If you don't like them, you can always unload them on the Forum quickly.

I'm doing the opposite. I have LT's and an X pipe and went from Borla straight pipes to a set of 04 Tis and just (FINALLY) got my Borla Stingers from the group buy back in March. While I had to pull the straight pipes because it was scaring other drivers (had an old lady swerve out of her lane at the toll booth and I wasn't even going quick heh), I felt the Z06 exhaust was a bit too muted. Adjustment (getting the tips lined up) isn't very easy either as they are a one piece design.

These are most definitely better than stock, but what are your goals?

My opinion is going to differ from the other feedback here, sorry guys ...I recently switched my stock 01 C5 coupe exhaust to the Z06 Ti's (no headers, everything else stock)...based on the comments on the Forum, I was really expecting a fair bit more rumble and exotic tone...to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed...I was hoping for a bit more exotic deep note, but to me it sounds pretty similar to the stock setup. Definitely same as stock at low RPM, but it does seem to have a bit more roar at higher rpm, but not what I was expecting. To be fair, this is from me inside the car, so I can't tell you if it sounds different outside (but it's for my ears that I got it!). They definitely are much lighter, and they won't rust, and I do like the larger exhaust diameter, so these are all plusses. You can find used ones for a good price ($400-$500), but if I had to make the decision all over again, I think I'd sample some of the aftermarket systems to see how they sound and compare before doing it again. Just my opinion though...

actually, that's a good observation. The bulk of Ti's improvements are heard outside the car.

Inside, there is barely any change (but for me... that's exactly what I wanted ).

I got my Ti's on my 575rwhp ECS vette and they work great. The sound is something exotic but not too loud. Even better with a set of long tubes and no cats......

BTW the pic is with corsa tigersharks which were waaay too loud with no cats.

Make sure they are not cut as they cannot be rewelded readily. Cut ones are very cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Anyone that cuts their TI's off is an idiot...cutting a stock system off is no big deal, you can't give them away.
