Are these the new Torq Thrust wheels? What are these called exactly and does anybody have any info. on what I'd need for these to fit a 2001 C5? i.e. Best offsets, spacing, prices, etc. Also, where to buy?

Any info. is appreciated.

Ditto on those wheels, they are the nastiest wheels on a C5 that I have ever seen!

C5 Noir: Is that nasty as in good?

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming. Anybody on here have these? I'm waiting to hear back from ARE on sizing, etc.

I really like these wheels as I've been looking for a more "raw" muscle-car type wheel that has just a little bit of flash, but is also down-right wicked looking.

Yes, Nasty = Da $ hit :D Those wheels don't really look like the Torq Thruster II's, the TTII's seem to be much more deep dish seen here http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...MTorq-ThrustII

I have to agree with you C5Noir, they are close but no cigar. They aren't as deep and the spokes don't have the same sweep or curviness.

You guys may be right,They are very close in appearance to torque thrust ll, Yet they do look different. Those wheels on that Vette look Like 20's,at least 19,s.They Look real Good, You would have to really watch out for bumps, potholes, etc. For me, 18's all around when I order my HRE .546's /G ForceKD setup.

The wheels you are refering to are made by Boyd Cottington Jr. They are 20x9.5 front and rear. The name of the wheels is Smoothie-2. Price...about $1250 each, they dont keep them in stock and each set is custom made.

I just received my Boyd's about 2 months ago, they are without a doubt very well crafted. I will post a pic very soon.

Those are Boyd's alright... American Racing does make a wheel that looks exactly like these though... and it isn't a Torque Thrust II
look here: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...ure=ChromeAero

They are called Chrome Aero's doesn't look like they are available in C5 sizes???

Silver,

Those wheels are somewhat similar to the Torque Thrust II (with special offset) by Amer. Racing, but not them. I was considering them at one point and finally opted for the Y2K chromies, Z06 size. Contrary to what some say, I thought the torque Thrust wheels had a nice "hot rod" look to them vs. the popular HRE look. hope this helps.

Thanks for the Info everyone. I want to eventually put the Torque Thrust ll's on my SS. They are priced right and Itoo think they add a Hotrod flavor. :chevy
