Default Cannot Access TPM System Programming

I am trying to access the tire pressure monitoring system to reprogram my sensors. When I press the Options button for a few seconds, I get a "Quick Configure" message, followed by a "QC Code 424111". I cannot get past this message to access any of the programming. Does anybody have any input on how I can past this message? Thanks...

Just to check this is the procedure you were using:

Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Programming

The TPM system interfaces with the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) through the serial data line. Once in the program mode, each sensor's unique identification code can be programmed into the receiver's memory. After entering the program mode, each sensor must transmit the unique code in the proper sequence. A magnet must be held close to the sensor in order to force the sensor to transmit the identification code. The IPC will display a message as each sensor is programmed, and when to proceed to the next sensor for programming. The receiver also sends a message to the BCM to sound the horn one time, indicating that the sensor properly transmitted an identification code. If the programming sequence is cancelled before any sensor is programmed, or if the vehicle's battery is disconnected, the receiver will remember all current identification codes. As soon as the receiver learns the first sensor identification code, all previously stored codes are erased from the receiver's memory.

Programming TPM Sensors

Important

Make sure the vehicle has been stationary for at least 2 minutes before attempting to program the TPM sensors.

Turn the ignition to ON.

Press the DIC RESET button in order to clear any IPC display warning messages.

Press the DIC OPTIONS button until the IPC display goes blank.

Press and hold the DIC RESET button for 3 seconds.

Press the DIC OPTIONS button again until the TIRE TRAINING message appears.

Press the DIC RESET button until the IPC LEARN L FRONT TIRE message appears in order to begin the programming sequence.

Install strong magnet over the left front valve stem.

The horn will sound, indicating the left front TPM sensor is programmed. LEARN R FRONT TIRE
LEARN R REAR TIRE
LEARN L REAR TIRE

Unfortunately I cannot access the TPM. I get stuck at the "QC Code" and cannot get past it. Tks.

I have not seen any tech info on this message, but apparently some of the 97 C5's can reach this function if the options button is held down for more than a few seconds when trying to get into the DIC settings.

Found this on the corvette action center forum.

"That is a configuration command used by engineering.
Do NOT continue, as this will mess up certain functions.
I personally messed up one car by trying to use this function and it was not pretty."

So how is the problem fixed? My 97 is still stuck in this mode and DIC buttons do not work. Every now and then it wakes up and works for a short time and back to not working again.....

Is it only happening when you try to reset the TPMS? Can you get it into the mode to read the DIC codes ? All the info says is that you can get it into that mode if you hold the options switch on at the wrong time and It's a 97 model year thing. No one seemed to do anything to fix it. A guess would be that the cluster or the switches are going bad. Codes will be set if the switches or cluster is bad. You might need a tech2 to read them
