Default ECS 4.10s Installed-Feedback Inside!

Just picked up my ride from the boys at ECS last Thursday. I had the following done:

I had to drive the car like a turtle for at least 500 miles break in. No speeding, shifts were under 2k rpm (with an occasional 4k shift but gradual throttle)...... That was very painful! I had people beeping their horns at me and Honda Civics passing me But after hitting 500 miles from travelling to RI and cruising to CT for a Hooters run, I finally got on the car!

My thoughts......I am so glad I went with the 4.10s! Car feels very different to say the least. 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear pull much harder. You feel a more SOTP!! I seriously have to hold on.... Im in my power band within seconds. In between shifts, the rpm never really drops so the rpm stays where it left off on the previous gear. Its awesome! Perfect compliment to a H/C car.

I can pass on 5th gear at low RPMs and 6th gear is so much more usable now. At 75mph, im still only at 1800rpms in 6th. Im still getting 30mpg on the highway. Not bad at all! Oh and they are still quiet just like stock. The tranny shifts alot smoother too with the upgrade to Royal Purple synthetic. Brakes are nice and firm too yet quiet. I went with AC Delco ceramic pads.

All in all, car is a more of a rocket now because its quicker off the line. This gear is a true match for the MN6!

to East Coast Supercharging for a job well done.

The 4:10's are a great mod, especially for a manual. One of the best mods I did, glad you like yours also.

Great to hear your love those gears and I have Royal Purple in my whole car and noticed a difference in the Tranny shifting smoother and the differential a little quieter, though I still have the 3.42 and not sure what I will goto when they give out on my car

Ike, congrats on the new gears. I, like you, had to go through that Mary driving, 55 mph, heat/cool cycle BS for better than a week. I had bicyclists passing me on Sunrise Highway

But when its over........oh my god, what a rush. I never played in the 4-5K range for so long as with these new babies. I love them, and can't wait to try them out this Saturday at E-Town.

Best of luck and keep it between the lines

        Understand Holly is next
