Thanks for the input guys. I guess I have a few more days to do some research.
Last question.Maybe. The FAST 90 has to have a TB run by cable or will it accept one like the one on the car now? If not how much trouble to change over?
the ls2 TB is an electronic one like the c5,
BUT you have to buy(or make) an adapter harness to make the c5 harness plug into the c6 TB
You dont need that piece off your old intake, there is a place for the brake booster hose and the MAP(but the placement for the MAP on the FAST is a PIA so I usually remote run the MAP sensor)
makes it easier for me
They do work extremely well when sealed properly. From what Ive read, the warped issue can be fixed by grinding down some material to make it a smooth flat surface. But you have to be careful when doing this. You wont know for sure until you install it and check for leaks.
Any details about where to grind on these? Inquiring minds want to know.....
Scooter,
Please come back and tell us how it went. Use the bolts Fast supplies for the valley cover, follow the directions and no grinding will be needed. I predict it will all fall in place.
Joe
What's the difference in the bolts that hold down the valley cover? I picked up a used FAST 90 and didn't get any of the original hardware with it...is that the source of interference (i.e. grinding needed) that the other poster referenced?
I had a FAST 78 for a little over a year. Just replaced the top shell to go to the FAST 90 with the LS 2 Throttle Body. Increase of about 20 RWHP on the Dyno. No issues with the FAST intakes!
