The differential takes a 10mm hex-bit socket.

The transmission just uses a 1/2" socket wrench.

Well ....changing ALL the fluids in a C5 Vette, can take a little more time than I thought! I did the MN6 manual first; the plugs (fill and drain) use a 3/8" socket extension and came out with no problem. OEM ATF outta there!!

The New Redine D4-ATF bottles need a special handpump, I did't have one!!
So I cut the bottle off at the neck and turn that piece upside down and put it back in the opening of the the now modified bottle. The hand pump I had worked great then!

The differential fluid was easier, using a 10mm hex, I noticed more deposits on the drain plug than the tranny. Back in went Redline 75-90W.

Then the LS-1, I ve done before , but after the tranny and the rear end, I was ready for a break! All said and done, It FEELS GOOD!!!! Must be about 10 HP GAIN with ALL SYNTHETICS!!
