Lowered C5 Alignment Specs
than I was when I started. I think I gathered that I should take my 2002 coupe and set it up with the Z06 settings to get an OK as far as wear and handling are concerned. Does that sound right? If not what do you suggest? I'm all
Thanks
It is a confusing topic.
Unless you are going to race or DE the car here is what I would do.
The stock alignment settings for your car and the stock Z06 settings overlap. This means that you can ask for a Z06 alignment and get that but it could also fall into the range of the C5 settings and vice-versa. There is not a lot of difference in the two. It is mostly in the camber settings. The Z06 can run more negative camber.
If you value your tires and want a nice driving car have the tech set the alignment to the preferred settings for your car. Preferred settings are the midpoint of the range of camber, caster, and toe.
Tech should know what that means. If he doesn't, go elsewhere.
