Default LS6 G Code on ignition coil

My kid had a brand new LS6 engine put in his Trans Am. The car started running poorly and is missing. Auto Zone did a scan and are saying that the problem is an igniton coil with a G Code. Does anyone know what cylinder this is?

never heard such a thing.what you have is a "p" code which has the "p" stands for powetrain. anyway for a mismife.you get "300" codes.p300 is "random misfires",p301 is misfire on cylinder #1,p302 is misfire on cyl. #2,and so on.could it be a coil problem?possible, but it sounds like the guy at auto zone didn't know what he was reading/looking at.you need to know the full code to know what hole misfiring.pull the plugs.the one that looks the oddest [all black, all white, broken, bridged]probably the cylinder with the dead hole.jmo

Thanks, I went back to my son for clarification. Here is additional info he gave me. We are trying to figure out which coil G is. This is on a brand new LS6 engine that was stuck in a Trans Am

Thanks for the info...The plot thickens...Number 7 wasn't firing. Replaced the plug, spark plug wire and voltage pack...Still miss fires...we are thinking there is a broken wire in the harness????

The car was running fine. Had a new clutch put in it and it misfired ever since.
