Default Front brake ducts

Just finished putting on the DRM front brake ducts. Randy at DRM is a really nice guy but the kit is not easy to put on. The instructions are next to worthless and the ducts are so close in size to the C5's that they are supposed to slip over that they don't. Had to cut the DRM duct's collar off an inch and notch the C5 ducts to get them to slip in. Instructions say easy installation in an hour-I doubt it. Okay, rant over. Thay look good and should work well, just really disapointed in the time and labor it takes to install.

I haven't done this yet but have seen a couple of other members with the same comments you are making....

I had my friend Sneidley from the forum come over and cut my vette up for me... he said it would be much easier the second time. He had already done his and had a template. I am glad I had his help, it would have taken a lot longer.

Yeah, same thing, they were a touch of a kludge but they work.

As I have consistently seen these type comments on the fit of these ducts, I can only assume that someone screwed up sizing the initial mold, and DRM either hasn't recouped its initial cost, or they don't care as they are (I guess WCC has a duct too but I never hear anything about its efficacy) the only game in town. Either way too bad for us....

Yeah, a dremel, some jb weld, a few beers and a few 4-letter bombs later and everything was everything

My few dealings with DRM have been great, no complaints on the interaction, but the ducts were definitely trial/error.
