I'm having a problem with the driver's side door not wanting to unlock.
The door will lock every time but will occasionally UN-lock. Seems like when its cold it'll unlock, but once it get warm outside, it'll act up. (Yeah, I know sounds stupid.)
What would be the problem? Door lock actuator (sp?) or could it be something else since it only does every now and then?
I had this problem last year on my driver's side. Almost, but not every, time I would park it and want to get out, for a period of about a few weeks, I would have to stick my arm out the window and open it from the outside latch
It was a tiny piece of the door lock actuator being broken. I ended up having it replaced no charge under my warranty and everything was fine after that.
I'd bet you have a bad driver door control module. To check you need to remove the door panel. Disonnect the door lock actuator. Install a headlamp buld across the two terminals. Operate the switch in both directions to see if the bulb lights. If it only lights in one direction you have a bad module. You must use A halegen headlamp light bulb and not a test light. A test light does not draw enough AMPs.
