Default SpeedBleeder Install Question

How do you install speedbleeders (or normal bleeders)? Won't brake fluid gush out everywhere. Will this affect or remove the new threadlocker.

thanks.

Well...no. The bleeders are on top of the calipers so nothing will "gush out" unless you decide to pump the brake pedal while you're in the middle of changing them. Just unscrew the old ones (I think they're 10mm) and reinstall the new ones. Since you "cracked open" the brake system, you'll get to try them out right away.

I had a small amount of fluid come out while installing mine, but not much. Should be an easy swap for you. If you work on your brakes more than once a year, you will enjoy these.

You'll have some fluid loss - similar to a gravity bleed, but not too much. It will be enough to make some spots on your garage floor, so I recommend having a towel underneath and handy to wipe down the caliper around the bleed screw when you replace.

Did you say 'threadlocker'? As in loctite? No need to use any of that, the speedbleeders come with a sealant on the threads already.

Its simple and very little mess. Make sure you get the new ones completley seated ( I had one start leaking at the track). And as stated above use them right away to bleed as you put them on. I would put them on in the same order as if you were doing a brake job...for my car its RR, LF, LR then RF

They are great (I got the SS ones)

What is the benefit of getting the stainless steel speedbleeders as opposed to the regular speedbleeders?

Which one do I get: SB1010; SB1010s;

thanks.

On Ebay $6.00 + $1.50 shipping for a SET of 2.

Lingenfelter $15.95 + shipping (?) for a SET of 2.

Raceshopper.com $12.95 + shipping (?) for a SET of 2.

The raceshopper.com & Ebay had shown the exact same picture of the item. Though all 3 websites show exactly the same item, with similar details.....

So, does anyone have a preference of where to buy from, or where you bought from. Personally, I like to save every buck, and still get a good product...

This question is for people who are "Satisfied" with their speedbleeders. Can you plz tell us, where go bought them from, seems like there are a few different kinds out there. That's why some ppl are happy with them, and some are not...

Thanks..

The Raceshopper price seems like a good considering their ad says you get the bleeder bag with 2 pair of SpeedBleeders. I have one of the bags and it makes bleeding the brakes very simple and there is no spilling of fluid. Hook one end of the supplied hose on the bleeder, open it a 1/4 turn and push the pedal.

I bend the end of the included 3' tube at the end and clamp it. When I get home, I simply dump the contents of the bag into an old bottle. The bag and a small wrench goes into a gallon-sized Zip-Lock bag to seal everything up.

Where did you buy them from? Are they Stainless Steel or are you referring to the 's' at the end of the part number as stainless steel? I thought the 's' meant short because there is a difference between the ones for a C4 and C5.

I'm pretty sure I bought them from Speed Bleeder website.

And also pretty sure the "S" was for Stainless.
