Default Clutch Engagement

This is in reference to a '02 coupe 6spd. purchased new by myself which has never been raced or abused in any way with exception of occasional "spirted driving". (To head off any remarks as to why anyone would purchase a vette any not drive it hard. Just an old man trying to relive my youth I guess.) I've read many threads over last 4-5 years but none that I remember dealing exactly with my problem. I've also have done recent searches to no avail.

Finally to the case in point, my clutch engagement starts about half way up from the floor, as I asume would be norminal, with almost immediatment full engagement which make it very difficult to make a smooth engagement with no jerk into the next gear. This may just be due to loss of reflexes due to old age but it is much more of a problem during slow driving than during quick gear changes.

The only thing I've read about that concerns the adjustment of these hydraulic clutches is an aftermarket clutch slave but am unsure if this would help my problem and what it would entail to install and then bleed after install.

Apoligize for the length of this thread but was just trying to head off any additional questions by anyone good enough to try and help me out on this problem.

Thanks in advance.
