I replaced all my radiator hoses and coolant a week ago and still have a " low coolant message" on the DIC. Is there a float in the resevoir that's maybe stuck open or what? Coolant level is sufficient and guage doesn't show excessive temperatures. Please let me know how to turn the DIC message off or correct this issue. THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

There is a sensor in the radiator. Unplug it, if the light goes out, then the sensor needs to be replaced or just leave it un-plugged. Of course if the coolant is full, which I am assuming it is.

Good luck
The fluid level sensor is not in the radiator it is at the bottom of the surge tank.
Its a floating magnet type and if the tank is tilted wrong the magnet cannot float correctly. You might have to shim tank with washers to level it out, there was a GM TSB on this.
Also products like water wetter can cause problems to how the magnet floats.
Check to see that the wiring connector to sensor did not come off.

BOOSTED YOU ROCK!!!!
I wondered if there was a sensor or float involved.
I checked and it is plugged in. Could it be stuck or is this a solid state device that just needs to be replaced?
Thanks in advance....

As stated there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) on this for the 1997-1998 C5's. The float design sometimes gives a false warning when parked on an incline. You have to replace the entire tank since the sensor is not available seperately.

Being the magnet floats it might have gotten stuck, loosen the 2 bolts that hold tank to fender and move tank around.
If tank is not level you would use some small washers between fender and tank where the mounting bolts are so magnet can move as fluid level changes
If sensor went bad there is no way just to fix it since it is molded into surg tank
