Default Overheating

I am in need of some help and someone to point me in the right direction My friend just bought a 1933 ford roadster at an auction we never met the owner so we have no back round info on the built this is a coast to coast glass reproduction we belive the engine is a 99 LS1 5.7 has coils on valve covers low mount altanator driver side and i was told reverse flow cooling because of the water pump pulley is flat not ribbed we have not looked into the block numbers yet to pin point what we have but belive at this time its a 99 or 2000 the computer has a decal that says must be 99 compatable first its was running ruff like 2 or more cylinder we not firing will pulled the plugs they we nippons lazer fire style i was told we cleaned the old ones that look new but full of black carbon no local auto parts had them in stock so we reinstalled them. And then we found the pcv hose off at the throttle body and the two lower port were open and we capped the off and the larger hose driver side of throttle body its on a brass nipple about a 3/8 id hose was run back to the fuel pressure regulator valve and the nipple on the fuel valve is 7/32 so the vale was never getting a vaccuum ok

On a stock program the first fan doesn't come on until 225 degrees.

You may want to try ebay, they are always selling corvette manuals on CD's for cheap.

A lot of guys, put lower thermostat's in (160) and reprogram fans to come on earlier.

It might help if you took some pictures and posted up, or look for a tuner in your local area that has the ability to reprogram your PCM.

I thought LT1 (1996 and a few years back from there) engines were reverse cooling and LS1 engines (97 & up) were regular direction flow. Maybe someone knowledgeable on both LT1 & LS1 coolant flow can offer accurate information.
