Battery hold down bracket removal trouble
Seems like the simplest things can be a pain in the neck!
Bought a new battery and go to remove and replace old batt and the hold down bracket will not come off.
Can barely get my fingers underneath and can feel there is some kind of nut (feels like a plastic lock nut) that I cannot get a wrench to. Looks like I might have to remove the wheel well skin to get a this bugger.
Anyone else come across this? The manual shows a pic of just the bolt, no mention of a nut. Previous owner or dealer must have stripped out the threads that the bolt screws into.

dam that suckss, i just now replaced my battery and the bolt came right out, no nut....in fact it wasnt even that tight....good luck....
usually that kind of stuff happens to me, with my luck...but this was a nice quick changeout...well not really cause the positive nut was stripped and i had to use vice grips, but other than that , well the whole nut came out of the side of the battery too, but i just used some channell locks and the vice grips and the nut came right off......
but the hold down bolt came right off
