Help me with a squeeling belt please...
I started my car today and the noise coming from under the hood was BAAAAD. It sounded like the belts was just squeeling. I put some belt spray on it (made for belt squeeling) and it stopped the noise for a short time. The noise came back, but not as bad. Now it only squeels under load up to about 40mph. Is this just my belt? If so can anyone post directions on how to change it. I priced a belt at the local parts store for around $35. Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem! Mine was the day after I bought it from the dealership! I took it back to them to fix, they changed the belt and it didn't fix it! Took it back they changed it again! Took it back AGAIN and they changed some pulleys, still didn't help! Took it back and they changed the harmonic balancer and they say it is fixed but I have yet to see it!
My husband said he read somewhere that there is a better belt to put on something like an alligator belt or something and that is supposed to help.
Good luck! I have yet to drive my vette without that squeely chirpy noise!
