Default AC gurus inside please...

Ok, here's the problem. After having the "drivers side warm, passenger side cold" issue, I decided to add some freon and see if anything got better. After adding one 12oz can of freon, I noticed that both sides were now very cold and equal....great!
However, I realized that the compressor does not cycle now. In fact, it runs all the time. I took it to my friend who knows about AC, and he said that the high and low side pressure readings were within spec. He even removed a small amount of freon to see if anything would change. No difference.
So, my question is what would cause the compressor to run all the time? Pressure switch? Before I added the freon, the compressor would cycle normally, although the vents inside the car were acting strange.
I know that low freon levels will cause the compressor the cycle more often, but what conditions would cause it to run all the time?
Any help appreciated. Thanks!

My temp has always been set to max cold, (recirc) and I have the manual AC system.
Changing the temperature setting on the head unit does not get the compressor to cycle in my situation. I tried.
Any other ideas?

Max cold + recirc causes the compressor to stay on.

You need to go to the normal A/C mode...also some cars lock the compressor on when the fan speed is all the way up.

Thanks Billdog, I'll give that a try.
Never noticed the compressor being always on before, but maybe it cycled more because it was low on Freon.
I'll try running it on the other mode and see what happens.
