I have an 02 Z06 lowered to the max with stock bolts (no cutting). I recently replaced the shocks with the new 04 Z06 shocks and notice an increase in ride height. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Shocks cannot raise ride hieght unless they are to long and are bottomed out. Shocks support no weight the just dampen the movement created by the springs. You may need to drive the car for the suspension to settle itself. You have movement when you press down on the car?

I was going to say the same. It takes a little time for the springs to settle in a bit. The a-arm is rough and I think the bushings kind of 'grab' on when the weight is taken off and the a-arms droop. Then when replaced it takes a few bumps to get everything to settle in.
I put Z06 sways and C6 Z06 shocks on my vert and it came right back down after a few miles of driving. As the others have posted, the shocks do not support any weight as the springs do. Also the C6 Z06 rear shocks are about 1/4" shorter than the stock C5 rear shocks.
My 02 Z isn't lowered from stock and at 10,000 miles I put 04 Z shocks on it. It went up in ride height and has stayed there. Its noticeable at the wheel wells, but what really makes it stand out is parking next to my 04 Vert. The 02 Z is a good 1/2 higher. After 2 weeks and 500 miles it didnt settle down so I lowered it on stock bolts. I left 2 threads on the rear and put the front all the way down then backed it up one turn. After a few days and about 100 miles it now sits at the normal ride height - same as my stock 04 Vert.
I dont get it. There has to be something different about the 04 Z shocks.

If they are gas-filled they definitely have some lift thrust. The amount depends on manufacturer and model of the shock. I remember some strut inserts that were in the 30 pound range - not unusual.

Same here, installed 04 Z06 shocks and sways on my 99 coupe and ride hight went up aprox 1/2" at wheel wells, maybe even a bit more. I have over 5K miles on it since the install and it has not settled. I'm just waiting to adjust the ride hight till after I install the Z06 springs. On a side note my F45 shocks had 115K on them and where completly trashed so maybe I just got used to seeing the car sitting low on trashed shocks.
