whinning sound
recently purchased 2002 z06, whinning sound 3rd to 6th gear, only under acceleration. not from motor. sounds like drivetrain. can someone help with ideas that would cause this. transmission company has the transmission apart, checked the differential. now checking the torque tube. they are telling me to change all the bearings. any ideas thanks.

Sounds like the shop you are using is guessing at the problem. Now that you have it all apart, not much you can do but go with their recommendations. Did they check the gear lash in the rear diff? When they put it all back together, recommend you put in all synthetic fluids in the Trans and Diff. Good luck with it.
