AutoComp beta testers! Please read!
Do you really want that mess of breadboard, components, and solder wired to the computer of your $40,000 plus sports car?
Have you noticed that if one of the fuses supplied has to be replaced, your AutoComp is out of operation? Did you also notice that the AutoComp uses a relay, which is much more likely to fail than a transistor type switch?
Are you surprised that there is only a 90 day warranty on this product?
Wouldn't you rather have a product that is professionally manufactured and distributed from a real company, with a physical business address, telephone number, and it's own domain (with on-line ordering)?
Have you seen the inside of the LapTrax TracActive Controller?

Isn't that more like what you would expect for you money, and for your Corvette?
Join other AutoComp beta testers and order the LapTrax TracActive Controller or Deluxe Controller today! It's only $65 more than your AutoComp beta unit (and only $20 more than the "Production" unit) and worth EVERY penny. It comes with a one year warranty, real support from a real company, and should last the life of your Corvette. Plus, it works with all C5 Corvettes.
Yes, this is an ad, but even if you don't buy our product, I urge you to avoid the AutoComp. No one should put a product like this on the market for public sale. It's beyond description, and I don't mean that in a good way. If you're not a beta tester, and would like images of the AutoComp, please let me know. The maker of the AutoComp first spoke of designing a circuit and putting the schematic out in the public domain. That would be a much better idea. Better for the consumer to make something like this on their own than someone to sell it has a product. People who would build them would probably not buy our TracActive Controller either, but that's the way it goes.
I wanted to add that this is not the type of post I would normally make. Obviously I'm biased, but if I put on my "neutral" CorvetteDreams hat for a second, I would be saying the same things, even if I wasn't involved with LapTrax. As I said above, I was shocked at what I saw inside the AutoComp unit.

Thank you for your valuable time!

Since no final production units of the AutoComp have been shipped, you must have seen a pre-production "beta-test" unit. All beta-test units are hand built with TLC!
The AutoComp will have a custom etched and lithed circuit board. Beta testers will receive a free final-production unit once they are available. Apparently there are many of us "inventing and designing", as Circuit Center is terribly backlogged with custom etched circuit board orders. Unfortunately this will delay the official release of the AutoComp (was originally to be September 1st).
AutoComp plans on becoming a Supporting Vendor of the Corvette Forum. I myself have purchased many items via the forum mall and I like the ease of ordering via the Corvette Forum.

Looking forward to more discussion on these devices that relieve the button pushing required to change settings.

Production is an adventure, good luck!
