Thanks for taking the time to crawl under your car.
I am kind of surprized that you get such great results with the cooler behind the main air flow and without a fan (don't see one). Seems like my car sits too low for that placement.
But you have great tranny temps (unless your sender is off)...wonder how much that Morossa unit helps......
DH
There is plenty of air flow at speed there........I have seen GM wind tunnel sheets and they have been posted on the CF before
I would say the MOROSO is best..........alum...........unpainted and with a filter to boot.Temps are correct, SHe has had 10K hard miles on the current set-up at a few tracks w/o issue.
Only time I got a high trans temp warning........hot lapping 7 straight times in the 1/4 in 97 degree 100 % humidity. I got every bell/chime/whistle one can get on a C5 Still ran an 11.31 @120+

So you HAVE gotten high trans temp warning !!!!
I don't go to the strip.....I do open track/ HPDE......so my car is doing continuous 1/4 mile sprints for 30 minutes !!!!!!!!!!
I am understanding correctly that both the cylindrical finned and the flat parts are in-line transmission coolers? I see that you are running this on the track but the web site you provided says not recommended for street use. I also thought that we already have a transmission cooler in-line? I too have an A4, 2000 coupe and get some 215-220 temps on my transmission fluid just driving back and forth to work and around town and that is with ambient 85-95 I forgot to look the last few days of 105 ambient temps. I would really like to do one of these options also and like the cylinder with fins and filter but if the manufacturer does not recommend for street use maybe I should stick with just the radiator looking cooler? Thanks for the input and I am not trying to hijack his thread, sorry if it looks that way.

There are lots of coolers that would be fine for your car if it is only driven on the street......
I didn't think about the need for disclaimers, good point. I try to get out to Texas Motor Speedway 1-2 times a year and run that course but mostly I use it for my dream car daily driver. Does the car come stock with an in-line trans cooler also?
I just got back from Putnam Park with the NCM guys. I got 302 degrees on oil and tranny temp warning before completing one of the 20 minute sessions. I have coolers for tranny and engine oil on order. If one pushes the Z06 hard at the track, you will get high temps, too high temps ! Put in the coolers and save your vette.

Well, that is the problem. The temperatures were in the 80's. I know I'll have to use coolers for later in the summer. I have 372 torque at the rear. I can't imagine how quickly and how hot one can get with more power in the hot summertime.
