T-56 rebuild difficulty?
I have an option to buy a Z06 transmission for a very good price, low milage, but grinds going into fourth. How difficult is it to rebuild a M12 trans? How expensive are the parts? Anyone here attempted such a job? Special tools required?
It would just be really sweet to put a Z06 tranny in my car, I know the differences in the gear ratios and the benefits would be awesome!

Parts are pretty cheap for just a regular rebuild.
If it's just 4th gear it's probably just the locker and syncro which is a pretty easy fix as it was explained to me. You don't have to rip the entire trans apart to fix those two pieces.
