Hey guys, I have a 98 C5 auto with LG Motorsports long tube headers, no cats. I also had it dyno tuned, it put 329 hp on the ground and 330 ft lbs. Im pretty big into drag racing, but my stock 2.73 gears are killing me. It runs 8.6 et and traps 85 mph with a 2.1 60ft. Gears are definately my next mod. Heres my question, I want it to break 7s with just gears and a stall, I was thinking 3.42s with a 3000 stall. If going with 3.73s or even a 3.90 will pick it up even more than thats what I want. Im a firm believer in overkilling a car with gears though. I dont really want to go any bigger than a 3000 stall either, its a daily driver. What do you think??
