I decided to take off my Weiand intake and install an ls6 intake last night and now I have opened a can of worms! It wont idle when you rev the engine and let off the gas. Same with coming to a stop, when I let off the gas it just dies. Someone please help!
sounds like a vaccum line... do you hear any hissing under the hood?
or i just had this problem you described, with my cam install... I messed up a plug wire... make sure all wires are complete, and have a snug fit with the plug..

That's the first thing that came to my mind too. Make sure your brake booster vacuum line is connected properly. Also look to see if maybe a manifold gasket got pinched/damaged. The throttle body gasket should be checked too.
There is a small vaccumm line at the very back of the intake that runs your heater controls.Check to see if your heater controls(defrost, vent etc.)work.If they do it might be the sensor that is at the back of the intake(air temp I think)might be leaking.Definately sounds like a vacuum leak.JER
Dumb question but I'll ask anyway. When you changed the intake did you have the old stlye coolant tubes underneath or the new type with the block offs at the back. The LS6 intake won't sit properly if installed on the old style tubes without modification. I don't know if you are required to change those when installing a Weiand intake. Another thing that happens sometimes is the intake runner gaskets on the manifold sometimes roll out of the channel when you are sliding the manifold back, been there done that, so the suggestion about a gasket being pinched would be a good place to look also.
Well I got it! I went around the intake spraying carb cleaner and as soon as I hit the middle two cylinders on the passenger side she revved up at me... So I sprung a leak! Ordered new gaskets and should be going soon!

nice find, did you read Arkay's post? the coolant lines run down the pass side from rear to front on the passenger side, along w/ a clip that the Knock sensor harness attaches to, i'll link a pic from somewhere http://ls1howto.com/howto/geniii/int...//IMAGE010.jpg

I'm wagering on the pinched/dislodged gasket theory. I think the coolant lines would prevent the manifold from seating all the way down and could result in a cracked manifold when the torque-down took place.
JMHO
I dont have the coolant line like that. Mine is only in the front. The engine is a 2002 LS6. I believe it was due to not having one bolt tight enough. I put the torque wrench on the 3rd from the front bolt and it was very loose. I tightened that up and its like a new car!
