Default Z06 shocks

I have been searching on the Z06 shocks on a regular C5 and cant really find the info I want.

I have drove Z06 befores and I think they ride and soak up the bumps a hell of a lot better than my FRC and they still handle amazing for a car which I think ride great.

Now will the Z06 shocks help my ride and I have been reading people using the C6 Z06 shocks are they worth getting over the C5 Z??

Im looking for any input anyone could give me and prices??

Thanks

I went with the Z06 shocks and glad I did. They are valved a bit differently than the C6s from what I understand. I also put Z06 anti-roll bars on a couple years ago too. Another nice improvement.
Call Bob Fichtner Chev tomorrow for a price. Just be sure to mention you are a Corvetteforum member.

I put the Z06 sway bars and the C6 Z06 shocks on my vert. There is a big difference in handling. Some say the C5 Z06 shocks are better, but some say not so. I bought the C6 Z06 shocks and the bars from Gene at Fred Beans. At the time they were the lowest prices.

I replaced my F45 system with C5 04' Z06 shocks (they were revalved that year) and Hotchkis sways. Boy I love the Z06 shocks, awesome handling and great as a daily driver too!

I have had both. 04Z06 shocks and 06Z06 shocks. Could not tell the difference. The backs might have been a little stiffer. The front 06 shocks are the same length. The back 06 shocks are 1/4" shorter. Better for lowered cars. I would just buy the 06 Z06 shocks. I think there a lot cheaper too.

I put Z06 swaybars and C6 Z06 shocks on my 99 couple this past winter. Got them from Gene at Fred Beans. The ride is a little stiffer on rough roads, but on bumpy corners the car is in much more control. The tires feel planted, and the car does not exhibit the bump-sideways skip that it had in the past. I feel now I can push the limit of the tires now, vs. the suspension being the limit before the mods.
