Default Temp is HOT...need help...

Its in the mid 80s now and I was running the air when I noticed that the coolant temp went over 250 degrees...Ofcourse, I turned off the air and the temp started going down. I was driving in mild traffic...car was moving along....

Car IS modified...220-224 cam stage 2 Heads, LTHrs, 3.90s on A4 99

Is this normal? Is this due to the Mods?
Any suggestions on how I can drive with the air on and keep the temp lower?
Thanks!!!!

take a high pressure air hose and blow out all the Micky D bags, soda straws, grass, dirt, sand and Miatas that got sucked up into the radiators.

If you can take the radiator cowling off on top do that too and blow out all that stuff.

You will be suppresied at how much gets up there in a little time. Plus and the sand and dirt you dont see.

I'm looking at getting a Dewitt rad to see if it will keep my temperature down.

I cleaned my radiator (and a/c condenser) with a high pressure hose (took radiator cover off) a few weeks ago and went from temps of around 228-235 to 198-205. Simple, easy fix. The ambient temps in South Texas range from 95 to 103. Try this before throwing money at the problem.
