No Problems in almost 2 years.. WTF?
I just wanted to let everyone know I have had no problems for almost 2 years 99 C5 50k miles
Previous problems were rocking seats, Replaced A4 transmission at 38k, broken AC/heat ****, replaced, Column lock fixed, all under extended warranty. Just wanted to post something positive or semi- positive..I forgot one thing.. Tires... replaced some of those, especially the rears. My Fault.. Upset about the tranny problems I went through. Happy now (Thanks to extended warranty) Motor is bullet proof so far

That's great..must be a decent dealer as that has a lot to do with it. I also have the GMMP and a dealer who really goes to bat for me if needed. A couple of great techs at my dealer also...........

I was thinking the same thing....
My C4 hasn't been bad either over the past 17 years:
150k, 1989. Mostly maintenance items and things that will just give up over time....
Exhaust
2 Master cyclinders.
Heater core
2 intake gaskets.
2 sets of injectors.
2 antenna's
1 tie rod
rebuilt tranny
plus your normal maintenance stuff.
I'm sure the '01 will get even with me by requiring a forged motor and new tranny for dealing with the blower.
All I can say is thanks to all on this forum. You guys have turned a guy who didnt know how to use a wrench into a corvette repairman.
Cant rem the last time I went to the stealership. Thanks to all.
If it wasn't for the forum, I'd be driveing a cavalier!
But age is catchin' her.
