Default Loose Cam Bolts

I have another post about the 343 code and was told by another member it is loose cam bolts. I have an 04 ZO6 with 2000 miles. Just put on maggie and have only driven roughly 100 miles when this code started to pop. Has any one had the same problem? Is there any detailed intructions on repair? How tough of a job is it to replace cam bolts? Thanks

Go to LS1howto.com to read about cam removal and you will see how to get to the bolts. Has the cam ever been touched? The cam sensor sits right under/behind the intake, perhaps something happened during the installation of the Maggie. That would seem more logical if you haven't been inside the timing cover at all.

Its a stock motor with 2000 miles.Never touched anything inside. I had car dynoed it was fine drove it home. Then I drove it a couple days later and thats when light came on. I reset it and stayed off for one ride then came on when I started it and drove it home.

I would heed the advice in the other thread and not drive it because if it is the cam bolts you can cause a lot of damage. However, I would check the cam sensor connection first since that might have gotten pinched/moved/crushed during the installation. If that checks out, then your only other alternative would be to pull the timing cover.
