passenger door won't lock by remote or with auto lock
What gives? My son opened the door and the darn alarm went off. I had just locked the car with the remote so it took me a couple of seconds for the problem to even register.
I sat inside and it wouldn't lock unless I reached over and flicked the lever.
It will unlock via remote or the automatice switch.
IT is tough to diagnose... without a techII scanner
It could be a loose connection to the door control module (DCM)
It could be a burned relay within the module ($2 + soldering)
It could be the DCM circuit board ( $400 new, $50-100 used)
or
It could be the door lock actuator....
without the TechII it is trial and error....

It could also be a broken wire. I called Chevy Roadside Assistance because I locked my keys in the car. The goon they sent out started working ont the passenger door with a slim jim but couldn't get it open. So he moved over to the driver's side and wa able to get that one open.
Over the course of the rest of the day, I'm finding that the passenger door is no longer locking either with the fob or the buttons. So I take the door panel off and find a broken wire. Very fine (maybe 22 guage) that was fairly difficult to repair. That's the last time I call them for help.
From now on, I get someone to take me home for my spare set of keys.
