Ok I need some help. I bought a cd changer from a forum member and I'm trying to hook it up tonight. Where does the harness plug into? the back of the factory deck or in the passenger footwell? I was hopeing to get some help before I take anymore interior panels out.

purple
orange
green
grey
and a shielded cable with
red
black
white.
cable was supposed to be from an 01 vert and I'm trying to install in 02 coupe.
Thanks
Help please I'm lost now.

the GM cd changer harness is about 12 feet long. One end has a single connector (changer end). The other end has two connectors - one 3 pin and one 4 pin - that plugs into mating connectors in the passenger footwell area.
Thats the problem This is a Gm electronics cdx-m2016 but it has a 18 pin plug which is only using 7 wires but even the color code does not match up. I found th 3 pin and 4 pin plug you guys are talking about but this plug is not the same. ????
Harness is about 18ft long but no visable part #. the red clip on the deck end has a P.E.D 2 molded in connector. No other markings.
I was told it was a factory changer from a 01 vert
