How do our cars compensate, for lack of a better word, the unmetered air coming in via the PCV set up. Obviously this air is not being measured in any way, and depending on our setups, catch cans and filters, this intake of air probably varies alot.

I was just curious
Actually the current PCV setup Does Meter the air.. It pulls fresh air from the Throttle Body which is already filtered and been metered by the MAF..
That being said... I sealed my Throttle Body PCV port and smoothed out the Bore...Then I relocated the PCV Intake and put a little Filter on it..
