Sounds like a 9 sec car to me. Don't race if you care about losing.

Sounds like a completely stripped drag car. Easily well in the 9s, you will lose very very badly. Without the 250shot? I bet he's still in the 10s. We don't know all of the specifics but I'm guessing 450-500rwhp in a 2700lb solid axle drag car is easy 10s.

don't race from a dig. if you can pick the race the way you want it
I would race from a 70 roll up to 150 and make sure he has his dr's on he will pretty squirly after 120mph and will not push it.

Great idea. Considering a TH350 is a 3spd auto (no overdrive) his top speed capabilities will be hindered

dope is the right name for you after that answer.

the post says the other guy has 3.23 gears. no problem doing 150 with 3.23's and a 3spd auto. heck, no problem doing 150mph with 4.10's and a 3spd auto. overdrive isn't for speed, it's for fuel economy.

123, if you race him, you will get RAPED....period. you are just outgunned.

That car is not in the 9's, i have run these style setups before at best he is a low to mid tens on the bottle and my friend has one, lt1s that are 383's are usually turds ie... 12's. Ive seen auto 383's with even stalls and bolt ons still in the low 13's. Just run him and tell him to take his bottle out, "with the bottle you will lose" tell him he has more cubes than you and it would be a better race motor to motor. You should wack the crap out of him. Why is it just cause someone thinks that if someone has a bigger motor it must be crazy fast. Keep in mind its an lt1 that weighs almost 80 pounds more than you block and is less efficient. It takes a lot more to make an lt1 as fast as an ls1! Run him, his bottle off you should have no problem as long as you hook up!

p.s. there is a vendor that had a crazy stripped setup lt1 (crazier than this thing from what is written) and it was only still an 11.7 on motor , "I do not suggest running him for a 1000 dollars, run him for like a 100 bucks, why would you run for a g note, for a 100 bucks you still get the same bragging rights." Dong get me wrong this guy could turn out to be crazy fast but i really doubt it, i would run it on motor and i have nothing but a zip tie mod and cut muffler.

Don't run that car unless your are going to negotiate lengths like on Pinks! My brother in law has a 4000# impala SS with a similar 383 set up and a 150 shot and it runs 7.2-7.4 in the 1/8. That TA is sure to go right by you. Same tranny too. You will hurt the engine spinning it to high speeds for a good length of time. No OD means a rock solid tranny for automatics

Thank you for proving my point that he should have no problem ripping that other car apart. That converts to a 11.2-11.54 in the 1/4 and thats on nitrous, put it on motor and that car is a high 12's car just like i said. Say his is gutted and slicked and what not and lighter than this impala it is still a low to mid 12's car and if you are in the low to mid 11's you will trounce this car. Run him motor vs. motor you got it

by the way in case you are wondering where i got the times here you go http://www.eldemoniorojo.com/calculator.htm

After you finish beating him, offer to set him out a few cars to make it more even

My Friend Borrowed My M/t Drag Radials Tonight.................thank God .. It Gives Me The Reason That I Can't Race The Guy. But, I Have Been Talking With Some Of His Friends And They Say His Car Is Hard To Hook Up In First And Second Without The Juice.
So, Maybe I Have A Chance.
I Have A Reputation To Keep Here ( Losing Is Not Going To Help It ).
I Think I Need A Cam And Head Donation Just To Make Sure I Beat This Guy

???? If you run the TA with your current setup in 1/4 you will lose. I don't see a point I intended to make that the vette could keep up with this TA. With gas he's got to be around 700rw hp/tq!!!

What good will it do to run without the juice? That's like running with one leg! And if he beats you without it you will NEVER hear the end of it!!!

You said my point when you said how fast your brothers impala is with a 150 shot with a similar 383 motor set up. Your brothers car is a high 12's car too on motor just like i have stated in previous statement and the same as how you stated it as well. Even if the ta is gutted and slicked i said that at best its still in the 12's. Simple common sense says that 11's are faster than 12's , that is where i said he would beat him if he has they other guy remove his kit. If this is run on the street i would love to see someone hook that car up with a 383 and a 250 shot, haha good luck john force.

I dont know if you read the first post but he was asking for an answer to both with nitrous and without, and i answered them for him. With he will lose and without he should win, simple.

Maybe youd like to tell me how the hel* him not runnin his spray is like running a one legged contest for him????? Hes got bigger cubes, heads, cam, tires, stall, everything short of a professional driver in that damn thing only thing missing is his mullet and he might even have that!!! Guess what ill still bet that 383 gets its damn world rocked

Either way this is niether my race nor yours, i was stating just stating mho!

Default Race

I race quite a bit and as my profile says run a blown car at 488 RWT (RWHP nice to talk about but torque gets you going) I'm at 10.88 to 10.9 with DR with Auto. I race quite a bit of cars with nitrious and usually beat all of them that are on pump gas but as you start getting into 150 shots and above on stroked engines things get very close. I'm not sure how much experience you have racing or what your car has power wise but I would never race anyone for $1000....even if I knew I could beat him as anything could happen...red light, lose traction, etc. Best thing to do is pospone and see if you can eatch him race a few people. All in all I agree with Chris at ECS, depends on driver and launch.

Hey,,have fun race for fun and bragging rights and leave the money at home. When I beat people at track I always talk to them afterwards ( when I'm challenged at least) and tell the guy good race and find some way to compliment him..even if he is in a mustang......
