as stated can you over drive the a/c? my new pulley just wont' allow a stock a/c belt to slip over... i've bought a couple of larger belts to try out... if they fit it will make me wonder if the a/c pulley is larger than stock.. which makes me wonder if i'd be overdriving it... i know underdriving it is dangerous ( the compressor ) but what bout overdriving it?
I see from your other post this issue is related..
What pulley did you buy? An ASP under drives (and by under driven I mean turn slower to reduce parasitic losses) on BOTH the AC and accessories, so you need a new belt for both.
I can send you the part numbers you need (or you can surf over to ASP's web site).
Not sure if ATI under drives the AC as well, but I know the Power Bond pulley does NOT, uses the stock AC belt.
IMO you want both under driven; my AC works perfectly with my ASP pulley.
