Default caliper orientation

I took off all four calipers to put on braided brake lines. The rear lines do not seem long enough with the bleeder screws up can they work if they are orientated down? Thanks for any help!!!

Default calipers

If you turn the bleeder screws down you will not be able to bleed those calipers as the air has to rise to the top to be bled. If you do some searching on the forum you will find alternatives to make them work. Some have ground off the square corners of the end of the lines, some have bent the rear line brackets, others have purchased other lines. I got mine from Summit and had to do very little to have them work.

get the proper lines the last thing you need is a brake failure. Are they shorter than stock ones you removed? Thet should not be under tension even with the wheels in full droop / hanging. As stated above bubbles rise.

Make sure you put the longer of the SS lines on the rear. The Short ones are too short for the back and the long ones are way too long for the front and will rub when you turn.

I got these lines from ecklers, I put them on the way they were marked and the rear lines are tight with the suspension hanging with the calipers upside down and the fronts seem long so I'll try and switch them out. Can I reuse the washers????

You can try. Check and see if leaking when you bleed. Best bet tho is new washers. I think about $.50 each from Dealer. Should be avail tho from any parts place for less.

Neither one of the lines were long enough for the rear had to take them off and put back on the rubber hoses with new washers, Thanks for the input......
