Default Active Handling Woes

Every time my vette hits a bump in the road, the DIC reads
"active handling". When this happens, I can't even apply
the brakes effectively. It's as if the car senses slippage every
time I hit a bump and applys active handling! Does anyone
have any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Tired of having
to turn off active handling button when I go driving. Thanks
in advance for the help!

Without any additional info I will tell you what the most likely cause is. Its the worn tires in the rear. Basically I had the same issue after doing my burnouts on the original tires wearing them down and thus changing the overall diameter of them. The car then reads the different speed of the tires actual vs. predicted and adjusts for what it thinks is lost traction when you hit a bump.

To verify this, I used LS1 edit to change the diameter of the rear tires for the computer to adjust and it worked great so I could further dust the rear tires before switching to my new ones.

You can either tune for the smaller diameter of the worn tires (or different diameter of non stock tires such as Z06 rears like I had) or buy new tires with the correct diameter.

I think you are right on the money! This started happening when I
went to z06 size wheels and tires. I will be getting an edit soon so
I will get it addressed. Thanks for the help!!

Are there any codes thrown?
I had similar problems- turned out to be a faulty wheel sensor connector. Search the archives. BTW, I changed to Z06 wheeles and tires without any problems.

I've been checking...no codes. Maybe I'll try using contact
cleaner on connections

Any way to check a bad wheel sensor/ connector? I pretty much
have to turn the active handling off when I drive the car. Thanks!
