Default IAT Gauge

Has anyone ever heard of a guage with thermocoupler that measures a cars IAT while running it? It seems this would be popular with blower cars......I have a SC and would liket o monitor this after my IC especially on a hot humid day.

Yes, I used an autometer gauge in my SC'd 323. Just requires drill a hole in the intake track somewhere, and then some 12v switched power.

this software with the usb to OBD II port adapter cord can give all the ECU parameters in realtime either through an onboard PC, laptop or palm!!!!

http://autotap.com/autotap_for_windows.html

you can create a custom gauge "page" with any of the following:

A/C System Refrigerant Monitoring Status
Auxiliary Input Status
Catalyst Monitoring Status
Comprehensive Component Monitoring Status
ECT
EGR System Monitoring Status
Engine Load
Engine Load
Engine Speed
EVAP Vent Solenoid Command
Evaporative System Monitoring Status
Fuel Pressure
Fuel System Monitoring Status
Fuel System Status Bank 1
Heated Catalyst Monitoring Status
IAT
Ignition Timing
LTFT B1
LTFT B2
MAF
MAP
Misfire Monitoring Status
O2 Sensor - B1S1
O2 Sensor - B1S1 (mV)
O2 Sensor - B1S2
O2 Sensor - B1S2 (mV)
O2 Sensor - B1S3
O2 Sensor - B1S4
O2 Sensor - B2S1
O2 Sensor - B2S2
O2 Sensor - B2S3
O2 Sensor - B2S4
OBD Requirements
Oxygen Sensor Heater Monitoring Status
Oxygen Sensor Monitoring Status
Secondary Air System Monitoring Status
STFT B1
STFT B2
Throttle Position
Vehicle Speed

the cord and software is 200 bucks, cheaper than 1 gauge !

Autotap is one of the worst scanners out there.

Depending on the model year Corvette and type of blower used the stock IAT sensor might not be giving correct temp
Also the PCM does not refresh the IAT values quickly.
Best is to install a IAT in the intake with its own gauge in the car.

I bought a indoor/outdoor thermometer at Radio Shack for $10 and mounted the outdoor sensor in my airfiliter. I ran the line up my A pillar and have the readout mounted to my visor. The readout is 2"by 1" and is digital. Works GREAT.
