Went to the dragstrip Thursday, made four passes.
On the last two passes near the end of the 1/8 the dash display started switching back and forth between 'competitione mode' and 'traction contol off'. It returned to normal after turning the car off in the pits.
Never had this happen before, I always put the car into 'competition mode' when drag racing.
Any thoughts as to what caused this?
Hopefully it set some code to give you a clue what is going on there. Is New London only an 1/8 mile? Yep, Motor Mile speedway up Pulaski, but it should be called Motor 1/8 Mile speedway. Have you ever run at the Motor Mile? Wish someone would build a real track around here close. I have not been to the track since they built the drag strip, used to go watch the oval guys all the time.

No codes recorded.
New London is an 1/8 mile as is Natural Bridge and Elk Creek. New London and Natural Bridge don't hook very well, Motor Mile is well prepped and hooks. MM is a super nice facility that Shelor put a couple of million into, everything is state of the art for a country drag strip and oval facility.
I'm too quick to run MM without a roll bar, they let me get away without it last year and the first few weeks of this year, told me I could continue if I slowed the car to 7.50.
Counterproductive as I have strived to make the car run quick and I'm not a big fan of bracket racing anyway. If I wanted to win bracket races I would take my wife's Monte Carlo, run in the 10s, be consistent, not break anything and spend very little money.
Yes, I change to a CCW package at the strip but have been doing so for the past couple of months.
The differece in tire size or how much the body "wags" could be the problem. I found that drag radials will give you problems some days, but not others. I just turn TC/AH off when it acts up on my car.

It was definately 'wagging' Thursday night, super slippery, poorly prepared race track.
