Went out last night and turned the lights on and the headlights came on no problem but have no parking lights or tail lights (I used light switch). Got home and turned just the parking lights on and no parking lights or tail lights. Checked the fuse and it is fine. Also have no Dash lights (speedo, tack, etc.) when i turn the switch on.
I was running with the twilight sentenial off. Turned it on and when the headlights come on the tail lights and dash lights also work.
Does anyone know if the Parking light/headlight manual switch is a common failure problem (the one on the end of the cruise control)....the part that turns on the parking lights and tail lights at the same time does not seem to be working....
Does anyone know how i can get to that switch?? or any other fixes..
This just happened to me as well. I went to change out one of the turn signals that blew earlier during the day, and once I got back into the car, I noticed that my IP was completely dark with the exception of the "MPH". Also, all the other night indication lights are out (window/lock/mirror lights on the door, brake lights while the head lights are on, transmission position lights on the shifting column, etc).
In combination with this, my head lamps will no longer go down... they are currently stuck in the on position. Luckily, I can turn the lamps on and off. I got a day off coming my way on Thursday so I plan on doing some serious trouble shooting then. Until then though, I would appreciate some guidance on what this could be. I checked the mini-fuses in the engine compartment fuse box, and they all appear fine. I checked some of the obvious fuses in the IP fuse box and they were fine as well. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?
