Default Needed----Auto Tap Data Interpretation

I would like first to get a definitive answer on the definition of O2 sensor averages. Let me describe my situation:

I have read differing formulas for calculating these values. For example, one poster has proposed using only those Auto Tap datapoints that reflect a Throttle Position of 95.5% or higher to be used in the calculation of the average O2 sensor composite. Another however, suggests that O2 sensor points corresponding to Fuel Cell Values of 22 be used only in that same calculation. I am in the process of setting up my Excel spreadsheet to interpret my Auto Tap data, and would like to verify I am correctly calculating the O2 B1S1 & O2 B2S1 values before making adjustments to my WOT POT on the MAFT.

I ask this question for a specific reason: Upon a cursory review of the data, I noticed that under some deceleration instances, my Auto Tap records a value of Fuel Cell 22, with corresponding Throttle Position percentages far below 95.5% Is this correct? I was under the impression that Auto Tap should reflect a Fuel Cell value of 21 for deceleration. I have also noticed that Fuel Cell readings for hard acceleration (WOT conditions) sometimes record values other than Fuel Cell 22, (which I thought was for WOT only).

LTFT are at .008 so I am anxious to complete the MAFT settings. Thanks

You want to look at O2s when under Wot of 99.6 or greater, not 99.5.

Autotap is tto slow ( I quit usig it because of that) at upper RPM range.

Pcm can also be slow so filter out all cycles but those of cell 22, and TPS 99.6 or greater.

You can e-mail me your trace if you like and I'll tell you what I see.

Thanks John.
I may take you up on the offer when I get some good data. The formula answer was what was needed at this point. I'm going to start out today with all new Taps to include LTFT's and WOT runs and see what we get. So far I'm running +10% Pot 1 and +2% on Pot 2 after the cam install. I had the PCM reprogrammed by Ed Wright after the 3.42 gear and Yank 3500 install. These new adjustments are needed as a result of the cam and LS6 Intake install.
Thanks for your assistance.

team-zr1: you say you quit using Autotap because it is too slow; is there something else that you are using in its place?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
After several months of using autotap I switched over to using the Ease enhanced powertrain PCM scanner that was written and designed much better and has more features then autotap is.
It was designed as per G.M needs and is fully compliant to SAE/ANSI OBD-II standards and supports not only all the OBD-II codes but also G.M enhanced DTCs plus does the O2 and I/ readinesss tests.
It also allows you as options to foot hardware. One is a hardware monitor so you do not need any laptop in the car, it collects the information and then you plug that into your hoe P/C to analayze the traces.
Also a hardware module to analyze the exhaust while dirivng.

If you want one I can get you a discounted price.

Just make sure your TPA is at 96% or so + and you shouldbe set to go
when at the track I set the refresh to fast (default) and then only have a few parameters to log so there really does not seem to be any slow down to me. The computer is fast so it gets alot of data.
On a track run I just log the B1's, KR, timing and rpm. That should give you a fast enough logging rate. Never had a problem getting enough data with a limited number of parameters.
