Default Vararam installed need help!!!!!

Hi there i installed the vararam intake today in my car. Its all in and tightened up, let me just say those were the worst instructions i ever have seen in my life. I didnt even use any of the kits bolts other than for the connector piece that connects the two runners into one. The other bolts front their kit were left over not sure what they were for i just used the stock ones. It doesnt even say if the plastic piece that connects the runners is supposed to go foam down or face up, i put it down.

Anyways heres the problem, its all in and everything but now there is a connection that i have no clue where it goes? Its located on the passanger side in between the distance of the fog light and the connection that hooks up to the black radiator cover. Its pretty short and i dont see anywhere for it to go. There are no codes being thrown and the car drives fine and the lights all work not sure what this is for any help is appreciated thanks.

Did you use my instructions? If not, look through them and you will probably determine where the connection is.

wow, i wished i had that before i did this. That is a very nice page.

As to the question yes the wires seem to be the ones from step five. The one that isnt cliped in to be held in place. I have the one at the bottom by the flap that you have to remove but i cant locate the other one is there a specific place it hangs that i should be looking that im just missing it.

Just also curious what is this wire for??? because it hasnt set off any sensors and car seems to drive fine thanks a lot guys for the help

I'm not sure what the bottom sensor is, but the wire tends to fall in behind the driving light.

The top connector (half way up the shroud) is for the under-hood light. Its lower section also tends to get lost by the passenger driving light. The top section is much more noticeable.

I just looked its not the wire for the under hood light its the other one that needed to be removed or i thought it did at least. it seems to be located by the trap door, close to the frame rail, its very close to the wire for the under hood light though, like it can reach right next to it, thanks

Sounds like the connector for the ambient air temp sensor. The sensor should be on the shroud it just has a push in retainer and is only about an inch square

Cajundude,

You should sell the rights to these instructions to Vararam to be included with each unit they sell. Cash in your pocket and fewer suicides for those using the existing instructions.

I have that plug as well. I don't have factory fog lights, so I assume that is what it is for.

I was about to post a picture and...a small tornado knocked out my power. Nothing was damaged around here, thankfully.

Anyway, here's a picture that may help. The disconnected wire is at the bottom, and the plug it goes to is just under the vararam air tube (just above the wire in the picture).

cause i dont have that anymore i remember it being there when i started haha, maybe i moved it or something??? but i dont feel anything anymore anywhere under the shroud over the shroud?

Haha maybe i should just take it by chevy tomorrow and see if a service tech will tell me where my wire connection went to without charging me
