Today my friend took some time and welded a nice homemade exhaust for me to put under the car.Now the mufflers are from SIMONS and are used in the ralley world in Sweden. The piping and the bent's are stainless steel.
No soundclip as of yet but dang......THIS IS A WHOLE NEW BALLGAME. Now you can hear that this vette has a V8.The money spent is almost 1/10 of the price like a Borla,Corsa...
I'm very pleased with the outcome and this is realy how a C5 vette should sound. We will be trying to get a soundclip and will post one as soon as it works. For now I have some pics...mind you, they are taken with my phone but still sharp enough to look at.
Now it's time to find me some tips and was looking for some oval ones.I did see the daytona tips and if someone has measurements of those, they would be welcome.Okay, some pics of my homemade exhaust.
Greetz Erik.

WOW!!!! Superior job!!!!!! I cant wait to hear how it sounds. Please let us know how much interior resonance that the system has. that is a major factor to some people (like me). I have to say again, it looks SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
First of all I must say that I did'nt drive with the top on so only without my roof.Yesterday it had a little drone because of the tips ending about 10 inch underneath the car.So there was a lot of resonance....Today with the tips mounted the sound was quite a bit mellower but still had that deep dark brown sound in it.I hope that the sound on tape will do the real sound justice....Be patient please and a soundclip will be posted but only and only if the sound on tape is the same as IRL.
yes, very nice and keep us updated with the homemade exhaust plate.
I have a "for the time being" exhaust plate and it's just a plate of polished stainless steel with some cateyes...:o .
I have a lot of idea's but when the right one comes along you'll be the first to know..
