Maybe someone could tell me about ARE heads and what does ARE stand for. Ken
Agostino Racing Engines it is.
A company with a VERY chequered career, now bankrupt due to incredibly poor customer service and iffy work. I had a Head/Cam package from them years ago which went south, and took the engine with it, after a broken valve spring. They then built me a 436 on new heads: the latter had bad welds (which cracked) when they recontoured the chambers; bad valve guides which leaked, and unstable valve train geometries.
I ended up with an entirely new, full-out Cartek 447: the only piece we reused was the block which of course was se-sleeved with Darton MDS sleeves.
In summary: run for the hills!!!!!!! There are tons of reputable choices out there (TEA; AFR; etc. etc.) that you shouldn't settle for ARE.

I will check out the patriot performance heads-thanks for reply. As far as searching for ARE, every post that has "are" in it comes up and I got tired of looking. Ken
