I assume you now have 2.73 gears. Very few shops can convert a 2.73 carrier to 3.15 or bigger gears (DTE being one of them). You would be better off picking up a used 3.15 or better yet 3.42 differential on the C5 Parts For sale Forum for $400.00-$600.00. Installation should be $350.00-$500.00. While your rear is apart, you should install a high stall
T/C to go along with your 3.15 or 3.42 gears. The Yank SS3200 would be an excellent choice if you intend to remain stock internally. The SS3600 would be good if you think you might want to do H/C at some point.
