Go down and find you a Pep Boys, Autozone, or something like that and look at their stick-on weatherstripping. I found some that is "D" shaped cheap at Autozone.
I added weatherstripping only to keep the water out while washing. I always hated having to dry everything off before it spotted under the hood. Works for that...
It will help keep the engine compartment a 'little' cleaner, that's about it. As the others have stated, you will get a lot of hp and tq increase, but what you gain in that department, you will lose in added weight.
The strip in the link looks the same as the typical unit from Ecklers or WCC but it is not being installed correctly. It does not get stuck to the front edge but flat on the bottom. When the hood is closed you can't see it - but it shows in the photos on the link. That is not correct.
I would not buy anything from someone who doesn't know how the thing is supposed to work.
Go to Ecklers or West Coast Corvette - at least you will get some decent instructions and the price is about the same - support the forum sponsors.
