Fans ON Engine OFF !!!!

2004 C5 with PCM tuning, 160 stat and Dewitts Radiator.

Just recently and not everytime the fans are staying on when I turn the engine off. If I turn the ignition to on and back off the fans turn off.

Don't know if its one or both fans. Happens with the AC in the ON position.

Never used to do this ....... any ideas ???????

Does it go off by itself, eventually? If so, that's a problem I'd like to have (since engine temps normally climb after shutting off on a hot day)!

Bob ..... I have NEVER before had them stay on ...... even at the track when its VERY HOT.

I have not waited to see if they turn off by themselves or not !!!

I waited this time when I got home......they turned off themselves in less than 2 minutes......

Under certain conditions the fans will run for a short time after the engine is turned off.

Bill is right, they will on occasion remain on for a short tiem ater shutting down, no worries though.

There is a setting for the fans to run after ignition is off. Factory default on my 03 is 284* for 1 sec. HPTunner allows this to be set to your specs.
