Differential Temperatures
I put in a new diff and I am monitoring the temps. I was wondering if anyone knows what the temp range should be? I am in 100 degree weather right now so I know that will effect the temps also.

I wish I knew. I know that the tranny temp warns you at 273-276 (in my 02Z anyhow). I've heard that heating the diff up actually drives the trans temp up, so that would imply that it was higher. It appears that most components on the car are designed around a failure point of 300 degrees F, but that's a guess, not from hard evidence. I know that the trans temp warning happens on road courses often enough that it's a common mod to install a cooler.
