Default Embarassing Question!

I'm embarrased to ask such a trivial question on the Tech Forum.
But help would be appreciated.

How do you get the rear license plate frame off?u

Thanks, Bob

Now you can get back to the real topics.

Take the licence plate off. There are 4 screws behind that and the whole frame will come off.

If you are reffering to the rear license frame, it snaps in place.
Be careful and try to pull it straight out. A thin flat head screwdriver may help.

Don't feel bad! As you can see from the photo below I have took apart nearly every piece of one of these cars, but it took me at least 5 minutes to figure out how to get that license plate frame off without breaking it! It is actually held in place with 4 small plastic tabs near each corner. If you look close on the inside of the frame you can see the tabs. What you want to do is take a small flat screwdriver and push the tabs back while pulling out on the frame. Push from the inside of the frame, so for the top tabs you will be pushing almost straight up, for the bottom tabs you will be pushing almost straight down. It is very easy to do once you see how the thing is made. You don't have to push on the tabs or pull on the frame too hard.

all of the above are good advice BUT!

the four tabs extend past the edges of the frame.
1. push the plastic frame as far as it will go to the right.
2. on the left side gently squeeze the middle of the frame towards the right side.
3. pull the left side of the frame out towards you while you continue squezzing (or pushing) the frame to the right.
You should not need a screw sriver and the frame should come out.

I wonder how many screws and bolts are going to be missing putting it back together.

Thanks, you guys are the greatest.
Hopefully I'll follow your suggestions right and not snap it off.

Wish all my 10 thumbs luck.

Thanks again, Bob
