help with thermostat!
I tried to install a 160 degree hypertech thermo into a second issue water pump and it is too wide for the opening. Apparently GM made some changes to the new waterpumps including the opening to the thermostat. I haven't got any help from stores as they say this one fits, but doesn't. Has anyone replaced their water pump and not been able to fit in a lower temp thermo. Do you know of any other makes that would fit. Thanks

I believe the 2004 C5 had a physically different thermostat. You may want to try one of those.

Yes, the 04 has the same one as the C5.5
