I bought a CAGS harness from Mid-America and the instructions that came with it say that the sensor is located on the driver side of the transmission. Once under the car, I saw nothing on the driver side? I switched to the passenger side and found a coupler with a harness snapped in it. The couplers are identical and fit perfect. Today, the 1st to 4th light came on so I tried shifting to 2nd and it still forced me to 4th? Did I plug this into something else? Everything else runs fine and no codes. Or is this the correct location and I have a faulty CAGS harness? Any ideas or answers from those of you who have installed one? Thanks. This is a 2000 coupe by the way.
Got it right today...man, is it nice having control over the gears. I'm not used to a transmission being so far back...I did the usual look directly behind the motor. All is well now, thanks to this forum!
