Default Issues with Battery Drain

Anyone have any issues with excessive drain on the battery with Ignition off? I have a 2001 C5 with a less than a year old Optima Red top. If the car sits for more than three days it goes dead. I tried disconnecting the negative terminal, hooking up an ameter in between the battery and negative cable then pulling all fuses under hood and passenger foot well one at a time to no avail. Still reading around 17 milliamps. Also looked for the obvious Glove, interior and hood light to stay on. Help anyone. Thanks!

My stock '01 battery has a power retention problem too.... Looking forward to what others suggest. Sorry I didn't have any pearls of wisdom to share.

Check your relays.
Micro relay #42 is for courtesy lamps.
pull it and see if draw changes.
Some people have replaced it and fixed a drain issues.

If you're drawing only 17 milliamps, that is well within spec for normal current drain at rest. Either your battery is suspect or you have poor electrical contact somewhere. Are you sure you're reading the meter correctly?

Check your electrical grounds. A small intermittent connection there may produce a sufficient open to produce a draw... I think
